About Franchise

In 2003, Party America acquired the bankrupt Paper Warehouse, a party supply and paper products franchise chain. This brought Party America into the franchise business, as the company coverted Paper Warehouse stores to the Party America name and began offering the Party America franchise opportunity.

Party America stores provide party products for everyday, seasonal and celebratory occasions.

Greg and Lisa Gouveia are the owners of the Party America in Billings, Mt and Casper, WY. We have been partying since 1994 when we opened our first store. We have two children and live in Billings, MT.

Franchise Party America

At Party America we love to help people party. We stock a complete line of party supplies for all of life’s celebrations. Party America has hundreds of balloons to choose from and half price greeting cards. We have decorations and tableware for every season of the year. At Halloween time we have a wonderful costume department and all year round we carry wigs, and makeup, and costume accessories.

When we started in 1994, we joined a franchise called Paper Warehouse and we did business as both Paper Warehouse and Party Universe. In 2003 the Paper Warehouse franchise was bought by Party America, and we changed our name to Party America and became a Party America franchisee. In 2005 Party City bought the Party America franchise, and we became a Party City franchise but we continued to use the Party America name. In 2009 we left the Party City franchise system and became an independent party store and continued to use the Party America name.

Franchise Party America

There are several other Party America stores around the country with similar history to ours. These other Party America stores share our Name and logo, but are owned and operated by other people.

The Party America name is owned by Party City, but Party City has agreed to let us continue to use it. This has caused confusion on the internet because often times we are listed on maps and search engines as Party City. We continue to try and fix our internet presence, but have found it difficult to do. People also often times think the partycity.com web site is ours, which is not true.
