About Franchise

Started in 2011, we opened our first store in Menlo Park Mall, in a tiny 154 square foot kiosk. Our founder knew this concept would have its many challenges introducing a unique and different concept of what was currently in the marketplace.

So he felt the only way to really get a sense of sustainability and eventually credibility is to test the product and brand in a mall setting where you compete with many major national chains. But more importantly, it was to get a sense of understanding who the target consumer might be, mall setting allowed to test the product well, considering you have consistent traffic of all cultures, races, and age groups.

Potatopia, then started to evolve, the 154 square feet kiosk was the foundation to what Potatopia is today and ultimately creating a blue print for the future. The greatest part about Potatopia is that it reaches mass audiences as potatoes is a staple at dinner tables, it allows Potatopia to keep innovating and more importantly, local customization in the markets where we operate.

Testimonials

Different and delicious

This was my first to e at Pota-topia and I loved it. What an original place. My mother in law ordered the mashed potatoes and I ordered the Idaho one and we are both very happy.

Everything is good there, the potato bases, the proteins, the vegetables and the sauces.

I'm planning on going back this same week.

Great quick food while on the move

We where in the area and was looking for a quick snack while on the move, we stumbled across potatopia and decided to give it a try.
The food was lovely, quick and well priced, we both really enjoyed our selections of potatoes with various toppings.
Would recommend if in the area and after a quick well priced snack.

Excellent Fun

This Potatopia is located a strone's throw from NYU and Washington Square Park, just a few blocks to the west in the Greenwich Village part of Manhattan. I reviewed this last year and came back for another experience We had a great time again. The food is fresh and the staff are a lot of fun. This is a potato bar --- you start with your choice of seven or eight basic potato choices and then add whatever you could imagine. You can get straight french fries of a huge pile of food sitting on top of... a baked, mashed, french fries, shoestring, wedge, waffle, and a few other potato types. It is a fun place to snack or have a meal. This afternoon they had $2 beers (not sure if they do that every afternoon). I cannot imagine why this has not franchised all over the USA. If one opened up next to a high school they would probably need to create a new law, or have security for crowd control. Show all

Best Food Court Food in Jersey City

This review is for their Jersey City location, but it looks like this one is just as delicious.

My colleagues and I arrived in Jersey City about two hours early for a meeting downtown and needed something to eat, so we wandered into the mall, assuming we could all get something at least -- even if it wasn't that great. I frankly was dreading it. I went from food court business to food court business looking for something that resembled food and which wasn't covered in a sticky-sweet, vaguely... Asian, sauce. I'm not sure how Orange Chicken in the Chinese place looks so much like Bourbon Chicken in the Cajun place and Bangkok Sweet Chicken in the Thai place. And everything is sampled on a toothpick. I'm thinking it all comes from the same pot in the back of the mall someplace, but I digress.

So Potatopia at least looked somewhat interesting and different from Sbarro's and Popeyes and all of the multi-cultural, same-sauce, vaguely Asian, chicken-in-high fructose-corn-syrup neighbors.

Wow -- oh wow! What a delight. I had the smashed redskins and loaded them up with steak and bacon, parmasean/asiago, garlic aioli sauce, onions and I'm not sure what else. But it was truly fantastic, some of the best food court food I've ever eaten. Wish we had one of these in DC.

The cost was $11 which included the entree and a diet Coke. Not cheap, but probably comparable with other food court lunches. I found the staff to be efficient and polite if not overly talkative. My whole order was made fresh and I walked away with my food within about four minutes. So I'd give them two thumbs up for convenience and service.

All-in-all, avoid the food court whenever you can, but it you have to be there, Potatopia is a really great alternative to saucy chicken on a toothpick.

Unbelievable delicious

This is a great place for dinner. You order on a tablet everything and anything you would like to add to your potato, fries, tater tots etc. There is meats, cheeses veggies and sauces. I had the baked potato and it was a large one. With all the goodies added it is a full meal.
