About Franchise

Our founder, Leopoldo Lopez Jr., started out in his family business back in 1965. In a grocery store serving the border town of San Ysidro and soon grew to include a wholesale division. The wholesale division of the store took off and by 1981, the company purchased a warehouse facility to house it.

In 1992, their company, now called Hermanos Lopez, expanded into Baja California in Mexico with a new arm of the company; Bodegas Herlomex. It was at this time that a strong relationship between Bodegas Herlomex and Westco formed, as Bodegas Herlomex was among the first suppliers of Westco products in Mexico.

Fast forward to 2008, Leopoldo Lopez Jr., his sons and daughters (Rosa, Gloria, Armando, Leopoldo III, Carlos, and Geovani) partnered with BakeMark USA. The newly formed corporation, Coast 2 Coast Foods, Inc. DBA BakerBodega was formed. The project would be operated by Leopoldo's eldest grandson Emmanuel Rodriguez. BakersBodega was finally born in Pico Rivera and has been serving people from all over the area ever since.

Both professional and amateur bakers alike come to BakersBodega to find what they need to create their masterpieces at affordable prices. Whether you need a 2 pound bag of sugar or a 200 pound bag of sugar, BakersBodega can accommodate you. Our store is similar to warehouse club stores but without the hassle of membership. Anybody can come and shop without worrying about membership fees.
