The GABIE Bus is a refurbished school bus outfitted with fun, experiential learning stations that coordinate with Pre-K through middle school education standards. Stations can be adapted to reflect the local community’s agriculture to teach kids about healthy eating and sustainable practices.
GABIE is on a Mission to "Pollinate" Kids with Agricultural KNOWLEDGE and KNOW HOW!
As a substitute teacher in Atlanta, GA in 2009, Lisa Williams repeatedly witnessed children not having access to food or the resources to “grow their own”. She also learned that it is very challenging for teachers to plan field trips for students.
Lisa was inspired to create the Great American Bus Interactive Education (GABIE) system. The GABIE Bus is a curriculum based mobile, interactive experience that brings the field trip to the school for learning that is fun for kids!
What sets The GABIE Bus apart from other childrens franchises?
IT'S SIMPLE!
We’ve created a concept that is easy to implement in all kinds of facilities. The "We come to you" concept takes away the need for the facilities to hire buses, incorporate lunches, chaperones, and the risks associated traveling with students.
With our in-house field trip we’ve reduced the complexity of the above issues raised and created an educational, experiential field trip for all to enjoy. Minimal buy in, with great potential with our new technology you can park and provide your program anywhere.
UNIQUE VALUE

The on-premise field trip is a growing trend that is safe and budget friendly. While GABIE is great for schools, it’s also successful for day care visits, local fairs, camps, church-affiliated programs and more.
When GABIE the ‘in house field trip’ comes to our school, the program fits right into our curriculum in science and more, and the children love it! —Martha Stadifer | Paulding County, GA Teacher
DID YOU KNOW?
According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), 1 in 6 children in the U.S. live with hunger and more than 12 million children live in “food insecure” homes.
Field trips are offered less and less due to the complexity to coordinate, provide lunches and chaperone, and the travel risks involved. Experiential education bridges classroom study and advances critical thinking for real world application.
