About Franchise
With dual-income families being the norm, the demand for quality childcare is steadily increasing. More than 15 million children under the age of 6 require childcare. Besides being a recession-resistant business opportunity, owning a childcare franchise that helps to shape young minds can also be emotionally fulfilling.
The Goddard School core curriculum emphasizes early childhood development and incorporates enrichment programs in math, foreign language, art history, sign language, world cultures, music appreciation, fitness, dance and manners. Our unique approach nurtures children into joyful, confident learners who are well-prepared for success in school and in life. Your School will also help them make a positive impact on your community.
Goal-oriented entrepreneurs recognize The Goddard Schools’ successful combination of a proven business model, a record demand for childcare and fellow franchisees with a commitment to "doing well by doing good." Goddard Systems, Inc. (GSI), the corporate headquarters of The Goddard School Franchise and the acknowledged leader in the childcare franchise segment, is awarding franchises to qualified applicants who want to go into business for themselves, not by themselves. GSI was named the No. 1 Childcare Franchise in the U.S. by Entrepreneur magazine for the fifteenth year (January 2016) and one of the Top 200 Franchise Systems (in worldwide sales) by Franchise Times for the ninth year (October 2015).

Training and Support
The franchisor will provide franchisees with approximately 10-14 days of intensive training in the marketing, operation, and management of a School. Currently, the first phase of training is a combination of online courses and a live 3.5 day session. This training will occur after franchisees have received their building permit, have received both a definite and final address and telephone number for their School, and they have returned all documents and deposits the franchisor requires.
The second phase of training, which is currently a two week session, will be held approximately two months before the School receives its Certificate of Occupancy (CO). All training will be conducted at the franchisor’s headquarters, another training site chosen by the franchisor, or via its online learning management system, Intranet, webinar or other form of electronic communication, and will be conducted on an as-needed basis.
Franchisees must attend, at the franchisor’s request, supplemental and refresher training programs, sales meetings, operations meetings, advertising meetings and conventions which may be offered periodically at various locations or via Intranet, webinar or other form of electronic communication, determined by the franchisor during the term of the franchise.
Partner Requirements
Owning a Goddard School franchise leaves you plenty of time to accomplish your own goals and dreams. Whether you want to spend more time with your family, knock a few items off your “bucket list,” or simply have more free time, our dual-management model allows you to run the business and develop relationships while your Education Director, degreed in Early Childhood Education, is responsible for curriculum, programming and teacher development. From the minute you become a franchisee, we help you accomplish both your professional goals and your personal ones.
The typical Goddard School owner is a successful businessperson who is too young to retire but who is weary of corporate life and eager to run a business of his or her own. The best part? No prior teaching or childcare experience is necessary. All you really need is the drive and commitment to run a successful School because we’ll guide you every step of the way.
