Kin’s Farm Market is a Canadian-owned specialty produce retailer that comprises corporate and franchise stores with 28 locations in British Columbia. Our mission is to be a leader in specialty produce through a family-team environment by delivering freshness, offering unique customer service, promoting healthy lifestyles, and providing rewarding careers.
The Kin family started this business as an 8-foot-long produce table on Granville Island, carrying less than 20 products. The goal was to consistently provide the best produce for its customers. With their keen focus on superior customer service, Kin’s become one of the busiest and most successful produce stands on Granville Island.
1987 – KIN’S FARM MARKET IS BORN.
Kin’s established its first permanent location at Blundell Centre in Richmond, bringing “freshness” to the masses. The 2,000sf store introduced the Kin’s Farm Market name to the public, and allowed Kin’s to provide a much larger variety of produce and comprehensive services to customers in the Richmond community.
Kin's Farm Market is planning to expand its already successful chain of specialty produce stores to nearly 75 locations in British Columbia and Ontario while tripling its workforce to over 2000 employees by the year of 2015. We plan to focus on our expansion program in BC and Ontario for the next three years and extend our reach to other Canadian Provinces soon thereafter. Kin's is a strong performer within the produce industry providing healthy and high quality options at reasonable prices.
In addition to boosting the size of its operations and workforce, Kin's is opening its doors to more franchising opportunities. Kin's Farm Market is continuing its long tradition of providing customers with fresh, high quality produce - while creating new jobs and opportunities to its dynamic workforce.
Kin's strong brand is proven to be on top of everyone's mind. When a third-party market research was conducted for three consecutive quarters, Kin's ranked 3rd in offering high quality produce at competitive prices.
Since the opening of our first store at Blundell Centre in Richmond in 1987, Kin's Farm Market has grown from a smallscale operation to a highly organized retailer chain with over 30 stores in the Lower Mainland and 2 in Ontario. Today, our stores generate average daily sales of more than $150,000 (during the Summer, which is our highest traffic period) with approximately 18,000 customer visits each day.
