The Million Dollar Hole in One is a par 3 challenge competition that has been running for over 19 years in USA and for 10 years in Europe.
Competitors can win a selection of golf related prizes from balls to pitch mark repairers for landing on the green. If a competitor gets a hole in one on the other hand, they will win an expense paid trip to Las Vegas to play again for the $1,000.000 prize for achieving a hole in one.
Million Dollar Hole-In-One® was founded in 1990 by Gene Rebhan, a retired professional American Football player with his life long friend and colleague Gene Krenz. ‘MDHIO’ was initially based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and the company’s head office remained there for 10 years before moving to its current location in Palm Harbor, Florida, home to some of the world’s finest golf courses and the legendary Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer.
The Company has steadily grown since its inception and can now boast of operating in 43 states and actively on over 900 golf courses in the United States. In 2000 the Company expanded into Europe and in 2001 operations began on the Costa del Sol, Spain.
