We are looking for candidates with an entrepreneurial drive and experience in sales, marketing, management, or technology. The franchisor provides franchisees and their staff certain training through its “Sylvan University” department and through “Sylvan University Now” (SUN), its proprietary online learning management system for Sylvan franchisees and staff. The franchisor provides an initial training program free of charge for up to 3 members of a new franchisee's staff (including the franchisee). The Initial Training Program includes generally begins with a conference call with a New Franchise Services consultant. The franchisor may offer training via instructor-led in-person sessions, group webinars, and online via SUN and online discussion boards. Initial training takes place in Baltimore, MD or on-site at the franchisee’s Center, or at another location as the franchisor determines based on need and Sylvan instructor schedules. At least once every two years, the franchisor will hold an Annual Conference at a location it determines.

 Franchisees will be assigned a territory for the License Agreement and will be licensed to deliver the Sylvan System and SylvanSync System programs and services in that territory. Using demographic data, the franchisor will work with franchisees to determine the territory boundaries to promote growth of the Licensed Business. A typical territory is a circular area with a radius of three to five miles, depending upon the density of the population in the Territory.
