We experienced our first Banh Mi Sandwich on the New York Lower East Side and knew it was something special. The sandwich was a shining example of how the purpose and placement of each ingredient created flavor that popped with each bite. We craved the sandwich and began our search for the best one around. That journey solidified our commitment and desire to bring this flavorful treasure into the mainstream for everyone to enjoy! BONMi was born!
We began experimenting and discovered there are many ways to enjoy the unique Banh Mi flavors; as a sandwich (of course), but also as a salad, or maybe over warm quinoa and jasmine rice or as a noodle bowl. BONMi now offers everything we loved about the Banh Mi sandwich in a variety of ways to please our customers. The options are endless so we continue experimenting to bring our new customers and loyal fans new and unique ways to enjoy BONMi.

The Banh Mi sandwich is more popular than ever and BONMi has proven to be a leader in the market. We opened our first store in 2011, ahead of this growing trend. To differentiate ourselves, we developed operational standards and techniques that were progressive, and in some cases cutting edge. As an example, we utilize the Sous Vide production method to deliver the highest quality, flavor and safest food to our customers, while minimizing labor, kitchen space and capital expense.
Our recipes and the flavors were developed with the diverse nutritional needs of our customers in mind. The BONMi menu can be enjoyed by everyone including those customers seeking vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, & paleo options.
BONMi operating processes were created with the franchisee in mind by focusing on standardization that can be easily duplicated and by mitigating many of the operational issues that plague the industry. Every operational step has been designed to engage our team members and maximize interaction with the customer.
BONMi has proven to be successful in variety of operating platforms such as food trucks, stand-alone restaurants and in-line operations with infrastructure in place for delivery, takeout, catering, and in-store dining.
