About Franchise

In 2009 Ron and Marci open the first Peace, Love, and Little Donuts in one of America's most livable cities, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Located Directly in the Strip District. In creating our Groovy, Far Out and Funkadelic flavors we knew that we could n't lose the incredible taste of our old fashion cake donut.

With that in mind each donut was created so that with every bite you would taste our fresh, warm donut, the subtle flavor of our frostings and our crazy selection of Funkadelic toppings; with no one flavor overwhelming the others. All of our stores work hard to make sure that you enjoy those flavors as we intended them from the beginning.

How It All Got Started

A friend knew that I had dabbled in the food business besides my lifelong calling and devotion to serving in the Ministry. He needed to clean out a garage for a relative and one of the items was a little donut machine that he wasn’t even sure if it worked. I agreed to take it off his hands. When I got it home, my wife was convinced that I had bought another non-working piece of equipment that would join the pile of other brilliant projects in our garage that the world had just not recognized…..Yet!

I Swear It Was A Mistake

My intention was to make a regular size cake donut versus the minis we had made at outdoor events. No matter how hard I tried, adjusting the machine, changing our batter, back to adjusting the machine, back to adjusting the batter……..we just kept getting this crazy sized donut. So, we figured we must be destined to make this tennis ball sized donut. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it!

**Note: 6 months into it, I realized that I had put the machine together wrong, but at that point I was already being lauded as a genius. Really, what was I suppose to do?

Finding Our Identity

I had it all figured out…..”Honey I Shrunk The Donuts”. A few quick calls to Disney Studios and I’m sure they would agree. Probably want to fly me down on the company jet! However when I rolled out this idea to Marci and the five kids, It was met with a unanimous groan. Shortly after that crushing loss we had planned a family trip to Kennywood Amusement Park. We were all sitting at the Potato Patch enjoying a must have treat on any visit to the Park, when just like someone had texted it to my brain -- -- Peace, Love and Little Donuts.
