Built by partners with an entrepreneurial spirit and passion for feeding the community they love, Sauce on the Side has pivoted from three successful restaurants in four years (2012 – 2016 in St Louis), building a franchise structure allowing for other entrepreneurs to create their own prosperity.

Sauce on the Side continues to thrive with the commitment of our Franchise partners to grow brand loyalty and create raving fans in their communities. To achieve continued success, we have created a feedback rich environment, built partnerships based on common values and will remain focused on continual improvement of the business model.

In the fast-casual world, there is significant uniformity. We’re different.

Everything is fresh: We source high quality ingredients, prepare our dough, sauces and dressings in house.

Our service model is a cut above, just like our food: Order at the counter then sit down and relax. We emphasize hospitality. Unlike traditional fast casual restaurants, our guests don't have to get up to grab a refill or their food.

We cut out the wait times: No delays to be greeted, searching for a server and looking around to get the check and pay. We want you to be taken care of, so we deliver the food to the table, refill glasses and box the leftovers (yep, our Calzones are that big).

We are authentic: We’re real. We’re hip and fun. We wear our passion for guest experience on our sleeves, but we are who we are.

Sauce on the Side is currently partnering with Franchise restaurant operators to create even more raving fans throughout the central United States.

With existing locations in Missouri and Indiana, it is not uncommon for our restaurants to receive visitors from across the region, and beyond, asking when we’re coming to their hometown. Let’s make that happen, together!

It is important to match the right partner with the right opportunity.

To accomplish that goal, we are seeking to partner with:

  • Owner/Operators: For those chasing their dream of building wealth and working for themselves, and have the passion to grow their seed money into a new future.
  • Multi-unit Developers: Experienced restaurant operators and entities seeking another concept and interested in an Area Development Agreement to grow the brand across one, or multiple geographic territories.
  • Conversions: Existing restaurant owners with a desire to convert their current concept to a brand poised for success with the customer of the future.

You can count on our team to partner closely with you to help you learn how to operate the business, and continually improve performance as a Sauce on the Side franchisee.

Ultimately, Sauce on the Side believes in being a world class training organization that delivers great food and service.

Operations/Training: We believe that exceptional operations are the best marketing tool for restaurants. In addition to initial training for Franchisees, Operators and their restaurant managers prior to restaurant openings, we provide the tools and resources, plus ongoing feedback, shoulder to shoulder training and consultative support as you build your business.

Marketing: We believe in building a brand through reputation, connections and local marketing activity. We do not believe in discounting as a marketing platform. Our team works hard to support local marketing efforts with on-brand ideas, creative and execution.

Purchasing: We manage the supply chain to ensure our restaurants receive the highest quality ingredients and the best prices possible. Our restaurant teams have access to an online ordering portal for efficiency and ease of use.

Real Estate/Construction: We provide guidance from site selection to construction, and have approved brokers and general contractors familiar with our brand that you may choose to hire.
