We are 100% Vegan. Our Soups, Sandwiches and Salads are prepared fresh, on the premises, free of preservatives. Our food offers zero cholesterol, nothing fried and balanced nutrition. We use reduced amount of oil, salt and sugar.

While we do serve very quickly and our menu is strictly vegan, we go out of our way to be fresh and healthier. We do not use added oils or added sugars in our recipes, no canned vegetables, industrial soups or commercial patties. We cook fresh, from raw vegetables and whole grains and choose our ingredients smartly for better and more balanced nutrition.
Let's take a look at our baked falafel wrap as an example: it is not a typical, simple wrap! Vgë’s Baked Falafel wrap provides balanced nutrition with complete proteins. Yes, it has all the essential amino acids. Loaded with plant strong ingredients like kale, tomato, zucchini, squash, chickpeas and Tahini, our falafel contains 42% of the recommended daily intake of protein, 107% of vitamin A, 74% of vitamin C and 38% of iron; all for less than 550 calories. It’s a meal with better balanced nutrition than a platter of salmon, baked potato and broccoli, and saves you from the 100mg of cholesterol and the saturated fat. If the target is weight-loss, we offer our falafel as a rice bowl (315 cal) or a Salad (200 cal).
Vgë Cafe opened for the public in April 2012 and was warmly and enthusiastically received. During these two-plus years of operations, the concept of Vgë Café has been refined, menu and operations have been streamlined and the brand has been solidified in the Philadelphia area.
