In Boston, a man name Howard Johnson started a business on the beach serving hot dogs and 28 different flavors of ice cream (think Baskin Robbins 32 flavors). His hot dogs were grilled and he devised a method of making buns in a loaf which were then sliced on a special machine which left them cut in the center and cut so that there was no crust on the sides. He then buttered and grilled the buns. Howard Johnson went on to establish a major restaurant chain and then a hotel chain which can still be found around the country.

You see, way back in our earliest days, when founder and pizza retailing giant André Jehan (whose modesty compelled him to name his corporation André Grandé and his email address ‘schmizzagod@—–.com’), first got serious about Schmizza, he dreamt up and trademarked the “one planet, one people, one pizza®” slogan. Because even then, he said, “world domination was the goal”.

In 2005, Broadway Subs was established so that our community could enjoy a really great hot or cold sub. We envision a great sub to be made with quality deli meats, remarkable cheeses and fresh toppings piled high on your choice of fresh baked bread. Unlike our competitors, you get more than what you pay for! When it comes to quality, refusing to compromise has been an important part of our legacy. It’s why we choose only the leanest, tastiest cuts of meats, great imported cheeses and the best farm-to-table produce.

After Peter LaColla and Daniel McCabe opened a restaurant called Street Corner Cuisine in a mall in Topeka, Kansas, they noticed there was no place to buy cigarettes, newspapers or aspirin in the shopping center. To meet the need, the partners opened Street Corner, a convenience store with the look of an old-fashioned newsstand, in 1988. The new store was popular with both mall customers and employees, and the partners decided to sell their restaurant and concentrate on franchising Street Corner. Street Corner locations sell snacks, beverages, newspapers, magazines and other items.

Larry found a great company at the right time. Much about the opportunity in life is about that... finding the good opportunities at the right time. We call it the sweet spot. When a franchise system has grown to a sufficient size, but is not over saturated, that's the right time for that system, along with a few other factors of course. The franchise we are referring to is called Corporate Caterers.
